Send photos and PDFs in chat

Show Rumpus a flyer, a lunch menu, a worksheet or a room, and say what you’d like done with it.

Attach a photo or a file

  1. In any chat, tap the paperclip under the message box.
  2. Choose a photo, take one, or pick a PDF.
  3. Say what you’d like: “Add these dates to the calendar,” “Help me with question 3,” or “Make this shelf look cozier.”

Change a photo

  1. Send a photo and ask for the change you want. Rumpus sends back a new picture, and your photo stays as it was.
  2. Not quite right? Say what to change and it tries again from the same photo.

For a child, sending and changing photos is a switch a parent turns on.

Big or long files

  1. A big PDF is made smaller on your device before it’s sent. You’ll see Getting the file ready… for a moment.
  2. A PDF that’s too big to send and longer than 12 pages can’t be shrunk: send the pages you need as photos or screenshots.
  3. If a picture can’t be opened, the chat says so instead of sending without it. A screenshot of it usually works.
