Texting Family Rumpus

Family Rumpus is a family assistant. Family members can text it from a phone number that's been added to their family in the app. This page explains how someone agrees to those texts and how they stop them.

How someone opts in

1. A parent signs in to Family Rumpus and opens a family member's profile. The phone field says, right where the number is typed:

   We'll text this number once to confirm. Replying YES agrees to texts from Family Rumpus: replies from your family's assistant, frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.

2. We send that number one text:

   Family Rumpus: someone in your family added this number so you can text your family's assistant. Reply YES to confirm. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.

3. Nothing else is sent to that number, and texts from it go unanswered, until the number's owner replies YES. Then we confirm:

   Family Rumpus: you're all set — text anytime and your family's assistant will reply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.

What we send

Only replies to the texts a person sends their family's assistant, plus the one confirmation above. No marketing, and no messages the person didn't ask for. Message frequency varies with how often they text.

Stopping

Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number right away. Reply START or YES to turn texts back on, and HELP for help. You can also email [email protected].
